• Call recordings: Audio recordings of phone calls, collected only when a disclosure is played at the start of the call informing you that the call may be recorded.
• Transcripts: AI-generated text transcriptions of call recordings, used solely for internal record-keeping and follow-up purposes.
• Request details: Information discussed during the call, such as commitments made, purpose of the request, and follow-up actions.
• SMS message records: The content and delivery status of follow-up text messages exchanged between you and our organization.
• Opt-out preferences: Whether you have opted out of receiving SMS messages, so we can honor your choice immediately.

We do not collect browsing data, device fingerprints, advertising identifiers, or any information unrelated to your direct interaction with our organization.

3. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used exclusively for the following purposes:

• Processing and managing your request for assistance.
• Sending SMS follow-up messages directly related to your call (e.g., confirming commitments, requesting documentation, providing status updates).
• Internal record-keeping and organizational accounting related to your request.
• Honoring your communication preferences, including opt-out requests.

We do not use your information for marketing, advertising, profiling, automated decision-making, or any purpose unrelated to the services described above.

4. Information Sharing — Strict Limits

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with any third party for marketing or commercial purposes. Period.

We share information only in these limited circumstances:

• Essential service providers: We use telephony and messaging providers for call delivery and SMS, and AI transcription providers for converting call audio to text. These providers act solely as data processors on our behalf, are contractually bound to strict confidentiality obligations, and are prohibited from using your data for any purpose other than providing the service.
• Legal obligations: We may disclose information only if compelled by valid legal process (subpoena, court order, or applicable law).

We do not permit any third-party service provider to retain, use, or disclose your data beyond what is strictly necessary to perform the contracted service.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We follow strict data minimization principles:

• Call recordings: Retained for no longer than 90 days after the call, then permanently deleted. May be deleted sooner upon request.
• Transcripts and AI summaries: Retained only as long as necessary to complete follow-up actions. Deleted within 90 days of resolution.
• Contact records: Name and phone number retained for organizational record-keeping. You may request deletion at any time.
• SMS records: Message content and delivery status retained for up to 12 months for compliance and audit purposes, then permanently deleted.
• Opt-out records: Retained indefinitely to ensure we continue to honor your preference.

You may request immediate deletion of any or all of your data at any time by contacting us. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

6. Data Security

We implement robust technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information:

• All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS/HTTPS).
• Database access is enforced through strict security policies, ensuring data isolation and preventing unauthorized access.

• Opt out of SMS: Reply STOP to any message at any time to immediately stop receiving texts. This is processed automatically and takes effect instantly.
• Withdraw consent: You may withdraw consent for call recording or SMS follow-up at any time by contacting us.

8. SMS Messaging

SMS messages from JPledge are strictly limited to follow-ups related to your phone call (e.g., commitment confirmations, documentation requests, status updates). We do not send marketing, promotional, or advertising messages of any kind. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP. For help, reply HELP or call our organization directly.

9. Children’s Privacy

Our services are not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, we will promptly delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
