Our Story
JPledge was founded with a simple but powerful idea: helping people in need should be straightforward and dignified. Too often, those facing financial hardship encounter complex processes, lengthy forms, and impersonal bureaucracy when seeking assistance.
We set out to change that. By building a system centered around a simple phone call, we removed the barriers that prevent people from getting the help they need. When someone calls JPledge, they speak directly with a caring member of our team who listens, understands their situation, and works to connect them with the appropriate support.
Our name reflects our mission — a pledge to help those who need it most. We aim to be a source of clarity and hope for our community, illuminating the path forward for those going through difficult times.
What We Do
JPledge provides direct charitable assistance to individuals and families in our community. Our services include:
- Financial assistance — helping with essential needs such as rent, utilities, medical bills, and other urgent expenses.
- Personalized support — each case is reviewed individually to determine how we can best help.
- Follow-up communication — we keep you informed via phone and SMS about the status of your request, any additional information needed, and confirmations.
- Referrals — when appropriate, we connect callers with other community resources and organizations that may be able to provide additional support.
All of our services are provided free of charge. We are funded entirely through the generosity of community donors and supporters.

Our Commitment to Your Privacy
We understand that reaching out for help requires trust. That is why we maintain strict privacy protections:
- Call recordings are automatically deleted within 90 days.
- Transcripts are deleted within 90 days of the matter being resolved.
- SMS records are deleted within 12 months.
- Your information is never sold, shared for marketing purposes, or used beyond what is necessary to process your request.
- You can request deletion of your data at any time.
